I think I'm done with Supernatural. I watched about half of 6x02, and then ( Spoilerish )
I also am not going to continue with Outsourced. I gave the second episode a try, just on the very, very faint hope that it might be better than the pilot, but it really, really wasn't. There were a couple things I laughed at, though the only thing I can remember off the top of my head is the boss using a roller coaster background for his conference call and pretending he was on a roller coaster while talking.
But 99% of it had me cringing. It's not just racist, it's racist in this totally out-of-date way. Like, there are a ton of jokes about Indian food and a running theme is that the two American guys call everything "green goop" and "yellow goop" and "brown goop", hardee-har-har, but as someone said in one of the articles I will link below, that makes no sense for this character. Yeah, Indian food is not as ubiquitous in the US as the UK, but it is pretty common these days, especially for the sort of young, management-track type of guy this is. You can't tell me he's never eaten Indian food before.
Anyway, here are some good articles about it:
How to fix the culturally ignorant "Outsourced"
Op-Ed By Das Racist's Himanshu Suri: "You Know That's Saag Paneer, Dude"
Dear Outsourced , Please Kill Yourself
So I've seen Mumbai Calling referenced a few times as a better version of this show, and I thought, hey, why don't I download that? So I did, and I will be watching it soon, and I am 100% sure I will enjoy it more, because there's really not much way I can enjoy it less.
