Wow, some of these are OLD. I had these Hot Fuzz reviews sitting on my hard drive for several years (I read the first one Christmas '07 because she was my Yuletide recipient and I was trying to see what sort of fic she wrote for the fandom I'd been assigned...), thinking I would read more and do a full set, but that is not happening? (I have a bunch more of Ann's bookmarked to read, but who knows when I will get to them.) So I figured since I had a small batch of random stuff, I'd just go ahead and include the Hot Fuzz as well rather than let them sit for another two years.
And hmm, now I've run up against that old debate, is bandom just My Chem and Pete Wentz & co. or is The Beatles bandom, too? And if not, how do I tag it? *headtilt* Suggestions?Long Shot
Hot Fuzz. 3300 words. If this isn't happily-ever-after, Nick thinks, it's damned close.
This is pretty much your standard slash story you can find in any fandom. It's not badly written, but it's not my thing and it doesn't fit the tone of the film at all.Christmas Number One

Hot Fuzz. 1500 words. Nicholas and Danny's first Christmas together.
I've never actually read any fic by Ann, but she is one of the funniest people I know, so I figured her fic had to be pretty good, and it is! This is well-written, hilarious, and totally awesome. It feels just like the film (seriously, slash and all XD).The O.C.

Hot Fuzz. 100 words. Danny writes Star Trek fanfic.
This is hilarious. And true. (Well, as true as something about fictional characters can be.) Assuming that in the Hot Fuzz universe, Scotty is played by an actor who looks a lot like Nick, Danny would totally be writing Marty Stu slash with himself and Scotty. Yes.Some Boys Are Different
Ace Attorney. 5900 words. Miles was always different. Is that something Phoenix can accept?
I'm not at all familiar with the Ace Attorney series, but you don't really need to know canon for this. I enjoyed it quite a bit, although I would rather have had Miles' POV as a child rather than his father's.Seventeen
Pundits. 600 words. Keith, Rachel, and dreams and false memories.
This is sort of a literal take on "I feel like we've known each other all our lives!" I feel I was missing some by not knowing the characters, but I still enjoyed it. There's a Skyline in Oklahoma
Johnny's Entertainment. 10,300 words. Love is a mystery to Kame, it always has been, and it doesn't bother him much. It doesn't bother him, but he's curious. He wants to know if he can fall in love too, just like everyone else.
The writing wasn't really great, but it was definitely an interesting story. I don't think I've ever seen a fic with an asexual character before and I wish there were more.Run for Yer Life

The Beatles. 5000 words. You don't get to the toppermost of the poppermost without a little sacrifice.
Okay, I really don't know enough about the Beatles to get most of the references, but this is awesome even so. It's a serial killer AU! And it's got art by one of my favoritest artists ever!
