Title: Chotto Dake Kaette Kita Dr. Slump

In the mid '90s, Dr. Slump had a short-lived revival in the gaming magazine V Jump. It was neither written nor illustrated by Toriyama Akira, but it felt and looked spot on to me. I was a huge fan of the original manga and I enjoyed this as well, though not quite as much as I liked the original. All the same old characters were there, as well as a new addition, a boy from Big City Island named Karte, who moved to Penguin Village with his family and ends up having a crush on Arale (not knowing she's a robot, of course). There are also cameos by Dragonball and Dragonball GT characters, as well as Chrono Trigger and Dragon Warrior (and one whole Dragon Warrior-based chapter where Arale, Senbei, and the others are inside the game). The whole four volumes are basically just fanservice, but if you liked Dr. Slump, I'd recommend it. It was definitely fun to revisit the series after all these years.
