Intersecting Circles by [livejournal.com profile] amchara 3/5
1700 words. It might be a big country, but it's still small enough for Jo to run into Dean Winchester.

I liked this, and I could definitely see something like this happening between them, but I was kind of confused as to exactly what was going on. I guess it's supposed to be set sometime in the future after everything's over, but it seemed like it brought things up without explaining. And even Jo thinks "What does this mean? Who’s Cass? Why isn’t Sam hunting anymore?", which further emphasises these questions. I mean, obviously we do know who Cass is, but by bringing it up, it makes it seem like there's more. What is the story behind why Dean is still thinking of Cass? What happened with Sam? By having Jo voice these questions it seems to give them even greater weight and then make it feel more confusing when they're not answered.

Five Times Jo Almost Kissed Dean (And the One Time She Did) by [livejournal.com profile] quiet_rebel 3/5
1600 words. What the title says.

I wanted to like this more. I love 5 Things fics. But this was just not that great. It's cute, no doubt, and I do love Dean/Jo. But it's kind of randomly AU (why is she hunting and travelling with them?) and that irks me.

Your Six Blade Knife by [livejournal.com profile] niz4 2/5
600 words. Random Bela/Dean/Sam threesome PWP.

I think I bookmarked this because Bela, yay. But it's a totally random AU PWP in second person, and I'm just what? Why? The point is what? Eh. It wasn't even very well-written. Kind of pretentious, but not that good.

Proof That God Hates You by [livejournal.com profile] sinuous_curve 4/5 Recommended
1900 words. It was in Stoneville, Missouri that Jo began to wonder if maybe she really was on God's shit list.

I really liked this. It's Jo out hunting on her own, missing home, realising it's not all it's cracked up to be. And there's Dean/Jo, which is good, but even apart from that, it's just a good character piece.

A Notch on the Bedpost by [livejournal.com profile] queencria 2/5
2800 words. Sequel to Proof That God Hates You. Jo meets up with Dean again.

Wow, this definitely went downhill as soon as it hit the romance. It became really sappy and just urg, not my thing at all. I really like Dean/Jo, but not like this.
