Oooh! They're out!

I like the UK children's version best, but the US one is actually not bad. Usually I dislike Mary Grandpre's art.

I am totally procrastinating on this fic omg! Seriously, all night I've been like, okay, I'm gonna work on it n- oh hey, lemme watch another episode of Simpsons/read another chapter of One Piece/refresh LJ a couple hundred more times! *headdesk*

;lakjdf the UK/Canada one is hilarious to me for some reason. Why all the treasure? Why do Ron and Hermione look so ridiculously funny?

Wow, my sleep deprivation is sort of showing in this comment, ahaha.

I have to agree. The UK children's version is hilarious. Ron and Hermione's expressions are just - insane! They're like a parody cover.

Yeah, I really like the art style, though.

I like the kind of dreamy watercolour landscape on the back, but the front's not for me.

Their poses and expressions are a bit silly, but I really like the drawing style.

Oh, definitely. I absolutely love the covers for Order of the Phoenix, Goblet of Fire, and Prisoner of Azkaban for that very reason.

I automatically clicked the British one because that's what NZ always gets, but it could go either way here. Wonder which it'll be? And I wonder if that means there's an ISBN for it now? I'll have a look later and if there is I'll show it to the Sekibunkan dudes when I go in the weekend.

PS: Thanks to Big Daikon I will forever think of it as the "Deathly Harro's" and picture Harry and co going around saying "Aimu fain sankyuu ando yuu?"

Yeah, it's been available for pre-order on Amazon for a while, so I'm sure there's an ISBN.

You should try reading the earlier books in Japanese. The language is easy as they're for kids, and you already know the story.

My favorite is the UK adult version. I do like how much more grown up Harry looks on the UK children's version.

I'd rather have an illustration than just the locket. It just seems so plain.

It cracks me up that they have adult covers at all. What, are there so many poor widdle adults who don't want to be seen reading a kiddie's book 'cause it's not kewl?

I'm not crazy about the US cover, mostly because it's so ORANGE. I am, however, looking forward to the spoiler wank.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be some. I found this on friendsfriends and there were about five or six posts with it on the first page, one of which was an uncut image of the US cover and I was like oooh, wank.

I think the UK children's cover is ghastly. The Trio have really ghastly faces - it's the style of drawing that's at fault rather than what's in the picture: which is lots of clues, I presume, about what's in the book. Kreacher or Dobby holding the Sword of Gryffindor. The adult cover is more classy but a bit boring.

I really like the drawing style. Ron and Hermione have somewhat odd expressions, but I still like how they're drawn.

There've been some interesting posts about what clues could be in the cover. [livejournal.com profile] oulangi has one and her post links to a bunch of others.
