I cut my hair today. It's a bit shorter than I'd like, but 1. I used the beard trimmer & scissors method and that's not very precise, and 2. I probably won't go anywhere until Christmas and I figure it'll be grown out just about right by then. I used the "4" setting on the beard trimmer for the sides. I have no idea how long that is, but basically all but the very top is buzzed and the top is maybe half to three-quarters of an inch.
Last night I got started putting stuff up on eBay. Didn't get very far with it, but I put up the auctions for those Spode Christmas plates (as three sets of two each) and two of them sold with buy it now for $25 each, yay. Haven't got paid yet, but hopefully soon. *crosses fingers* Here's hoping the rest of the stuff sells as quickly and as well.
We went to the store today and they had ground beef on sale for $1 a pound, so we stocked up. Also they had little frozen pizzas for 58 cents each. As I told Bruce, these sort of sales are really dangerous because once I see a price that low, everything else seems horribly expensive. We will not be getting any meat that's not a dollar or any pizza that's not fifty cents anymore. XD
My sleep schedule is utterly fucked. I've been sleeping in the late afternoon/evening, which is my least favorite time to sleep. I don't know why I dislike it so much, but I do. The past couple days I've told Bruce to wake me up after a couple hours, so I can just have a little nap and then hopefully readjust my schedule, but I inevitably don't want to get up when he comes in to wake me and I end up sleeping a full night's worth. So today I'm attempting to just stay up at least until nighttime.
Yesterday morning we got a vacuum at Target. I
think we're going to keep it, but I'm still not 100% sure. It's
this one (was $49.99 at Target). It seems to be working pretty well. I do miss having a proper vacuum, but proper vacuums appear to really be out of our price range (even if Bruce weren't out of work, I would be loathe to pay more than $100 for a vacuum). Although I don't know, $50 is still a lot and even though I like it fairly well, I'm having buyer's remorse, so maybe I'll just return it and make do with the handvac and dustmop.
And I leave you with this:
Best lolcat ever, Y/Y?
