Does anyone know where the fav icon info is stored in Firefox and how to change it? For some reason all pages from my journal (whether the main page, an individual page, flist, etc.) have lost the little blue pencil icon. It's not a huge deal, but it annoys me.

ETA: Clearing the cache got it back, yay!

So I know a lot of you on my flist are daydreamers, able to entertain yourselves with stories in your head when you've got nothing else to do - and even sometimes when you should be doing other things!

As I've mentioned before, I can't. It doesn't come naturally, and when I try, like if I'm trying to think out the next bit of a story I'm writing, I'll get stuck very early on (like the equivalent of a paragraph, maybe a page at most of action) and keep repeating the same bit, unable to move on. So I don't really do it that much, except sometimes when I'm lying in bed trying to get to sleep, because it's nice and quiet and I can concentrate. (But then I usually forget exactly the wording I'd "written" by the morning anyway, so... I think writing at the computer is the only writing I can do. ^_^;;)

But what I was wondering, last night at the concert, as I stood there extremely bored by the opening act and the hellish combination of disco and rap that followed on the speakers as we waited and waited for Mika to come out (not as bad as waiting like two hours for B'z while the Beach Boys played endlessly that one time, but close), is are you able to tune out your surroundings?

Even if I had tried to do some writing in my head, I wouldn't have been able to thanks to the music being so loud (I have to have music very quiet at my computer, too, or else I can't concentrate on anything else). Though I think probably all the people there would have made it hard, too. Really in a situation like that, all I can do is look at people and listen to words of the music repeating in my head, since there was so much stimulation, I couldn't even just zone out. It's not very entertaining, frankly. (If it had been music I liked, that would be another story.)

Are there any other non-daydreaming-types on my flist? What do you do when you don't have a book or notepad or gameboy or someone to talk to or whatever else you might normally occupy yourself with?

Totally unrelated PS. People, you need to stop calling Joe Flanigan JF. I think JournalFen, and hope that the spaceship is more robust than the servers, should JF go into space. And also The Flan is a bit weird, too, especially in cases like [livejournal.com profile] space_flan. I think pudding. In fact, I think Space Flan sounds like the Monty Python blancmange sketch. I mean, unless your goal is to make me associate Joe with robust pudding, in which case, by all means, carry on.

It's amazing how all the pics the come up when you search for "moon landing" are from "zomg hoax!" sites.

So...I'm thinking I'm going to change my daily writing thing to a weekly writing thing. I will still be attempting to write daily, but will only post once a week (Saturdays, I think), with snippets of what I've written and blathering and all that stuff.

The thing is, I thought by posting daily that would keep me accountable and make me more likely to actually write and not slack off, but what's been happening is that it's just started to make me super stressed out and even more avoidant. >_< I think that may be contributing to my lack of inspiration/writer's block/whatever you want to call it, too. Because every time I think about writing, I get really stressed out. Obviously not a good thing.

I haven't written anything since my last daily post, so I think starting from today will be a new week, and I'll post on Saturday and hopefully will be feeling better about things. *crosses fingers*

I can see both of these coming in handy...

This one I did almost no editing to. Just had to fix the bush a bit to cover up part of the girl on the left.

This one, though, needed quite a bit of fiddling to get the words in the frame.

Really I'm stopping now. I can't believe I've made like seven icons last night/this morning. Not like I got anything else done... ;_;

Most of this is stuff Bruce wanted me to upload for him, and to be honest, I have no idea who some of these bands are or what they're like.

I love The Yellow Monkey, though, and this is a good album of theirs to get started on. It's a collection of their later singles. No idea how to describe them except rock, but just regular rock, not like visual or anything.
